Chatter Matters Children’s Reading Series
On the first four Saturdays in September, in partnership with Fullers Bookshop Hobart, we are holding a very special series of story-time events for children.
Our own speech pathologist, ‘courage facilitator’ and 2017 Tasmanian Australian of the year, Rosie Martin, together with a team of fabulous speech pathologists, will run a series of Saturday morning storytelling sessions at Fullers. The aims are to spread the wonderful news that literacy is possible for everyone, that kids can be helped to develop language and communication skills, and that parents and others can be supported to know just what they can do to deliver that help themselves.
This is a wonderful opportunity for your children and our community to build awareness and skill in language, literacy and positive relatedness. The speech pathologists will also be available to talk to parents and customers at the store and answer general questions about language and literacy development.
Join us for these engaging, informative, and most importantly, fun(!) readings that have, at heart, a specialist knowledge for building positive relationships through literacy.
Hear Rosie and her team read at Fullers Bookshop.
Tickets are free but booking is essential as places may be limited.
